Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 June 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Trust Passport website at trustpassport.co.za. By using the site, sharing research responses, or joining our waitlist, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Research phase

Trust Passport is currently a research project, not a live commercial product. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer of services, a guarantee of any future product, or financial or legal advice. Features described here may change, be delayed, or never be built.

3. Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful information.
  • Submit content that infringes anyone's rights or breaks the law.
  • Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the site.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or spam our forms or endpoints.

4. Your submissions

When you share survey responses, feedback, or other input, you grant Trust Passport a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that input to inform our research, product design, and public communications — in anonymised or aggregated form. We will not publish your name, email, or contact details without your explicit permission.

5. Intellectual property

The Trust Passport name, wordmark, copy, and visual design are owned by us. You may link to the site and quote short extracts with attribution, but please don't copy substantial portions or imply that we endorse your project without asking first.

6. No warranties

The site is provided "as is". We don't promise that it will always be available, accurate, or bug-free. To the maximum extent allowed by South African law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Trust Passport, its team, and its partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (including for fraud or gross negligence).

8. Privacy

Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the project evolves. We'll post changes on this page and update the date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
